Don Alder
Don Alder is a Canadian fingerstyle guitarist, singer, songwriter, composer, and speaker. Born in Vancouver, BC, Canada, he spent his early childhood years in Montreal before moving to Williams Lake, British Columbia. Alder began playing guitar at the age of 11. In 1985, he took a break from his music career to accompany his friend Rick Hansen on his Man in Motion world tour. Alder's character appears in the feature film 'Heart of a Dragon' (2008), which is based on the Man in Motion Tour. He also worked as a technical advisor for the film. Alder is featured in the play 'Rick: The Rick Hansen Story', which tells the story of the Man in Motion Tour. He was a member of the Canadian National Paralympic team in the 1996 and 2000 Games in Atlanta.
