Don Hood Biography
Don Hood (October 16, 1949 – June 10, 2023) was an American professional baseball player. He played as a left-handed pitcher in the Major League Baseball from 1973 to 1983 for the Baltimore Orioles, New York Yankees, Cleveland Indians, St. Louis Cardinals, and the Kansas City Royals. Hood was born in Florence, South Carolina and was selected in the first round of the 1969 MLB Draft by the Baltimore Orioles. He made his major league debut on July 16, 1973. Throughout his career, Hood pitched both as a starting pitcher and a relief pitcher, with a career high of 41 games played in 1977.
