Don Maloney is a Canadian ice hockey executive and former player. Born on September 5, 1958, he is currently serving as the President of Hockey Operations for the Calgary Flames. Maloney had a successful career as a player, spending most of his career with the New York Rangers. He also played for the Hartford Whalers and the New York Islanders. After retiring as a player, Maloney transitioned into management roles. He served as the general manager for the New York Islanders and the Phoenix/Arizona Coyotes. Prior to his current position with the Flames, he held various roles with the New York Rangers, including vice president of player personnel and assistant general manager. Maloney is highly regarded in the hockey industry for his contributions to the sport.
