Don McLeod
Donald Martin McLeod, known as Smokey, was a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender. He had a brief stint in the National Hockey League (NHL) and played six full seasons in the World Hockey Association (WHA) from 1970 to 1978. McLeod began his professional career in the minor Central Professional Hockey League and American Hockey League before being called up for two stints in the NHL with the Detroit Red Wings and Philadelphia Flyers. He was signed by the Houston Aeros in the WHA and had his best season in 1973-74, winning the Ben Hatskin Trophy as the WHA's top goalie and representing Canada in the 1974 Summit Series against the Soviet Union.
