    Dorothy Parke (29 July 1904 – 15 February 1990) was a composer and music teacher from Northern Ireland. Born in County Londonderry, Ireland, she studied piano and composition at the Royal Academy of Music in London. After completing her studies, Parke settled in Belfast and taught music for three decades. She also worked as a composer, creating songs, piano solos, choral, and vocal music. Her notable works include 'St. Columba's Poem on Derry,' 'A Song of Good Courage,' and 'The Road to Ballydare.' Parke's students included Norma Burrowes and Derek Bell. She passed away in Portrush, County Antrim.
