Douglas Arlin Dawson (born December 27, 1961) is a former American football player who played as an offensive lineman in the NFL for eleven seasons in the 1980s and 1990s. Born in Houston, Texas, Dawson attended the University of Texas where he played college football for the Texas Longhorns. As a senior in 1983, he received All-American honors and was an Academic All-American. Dawson was selected by the St. Louis Cardinals in the second round of the 1984 NFL Draft. Throughout his career, he also played for the Houston Oilers and Cleveland Browns. Dawson is known for his impressive skills as an offensive lineman and his contributions to the teams he played for.
