Doug Moe Biography
Doug Moe is an American former professional basketball player and coach. He was born on September 21, 1938, in Brooklyn, New York. Moe had a successful college career at the University of North Carolina, where he was a two-time All-American. However, his collegiate career ended in controversy due to his association with a point shaving scandal. Despite this, there is no evidence that Moe was ever involved in a fix conspiracy. Moe went on to have a career in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as both a player and a coach. He played for teams like the Detroit Pistons and the Chicago Packers. As a head coach with the Denver Nuggets, Moe was named the NBA Coach of the Year in 1988.
