Doug Trapp
Doug Trapp (born November 28, 1965 in Balcarres, Saskatchewan) is a former professional ice hockey left wing. He played two games in the National Hockey League with the Buffalo Sabres in the 1986–87 season, going scoreless. Trapp was drafted in the second round, 39th overall, by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1984 NHL Entry Draft. He was recognized for his skills as part of the WHL East Second All-Star Team in 1984. Trapp comes from a hockey family, with his father Barry being involved in coaching and scouting for various teams, including the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Canadian National Junior team. Trapp's sons, Bear and Spencer, have also pursued hockey careers, with Bear playing collegiate hockey for the Sacred Heart Pioneers and Spencer playing for the College of the Holy Cross.
