Dwight Armstrong Biography
Dwight Alan Armstrong (August 29, 1951 – June 20, 2010) was an American anti-Vietnam War activist known for his involvement in the bombing of Sterling Hall on the University of Wisconsin–Madison campus in 1970. Alongside three others, Armstrong used a truck bomb to target an army mathematical research center within the building. The bombing resulted in the death of one person and injuries to three others. Armstrong, who was born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin, dropped out of high school in 10th grade to actively oppose the Vietnam War. After spending several years on the run, he was eventually imprisoned.
