Ed Fry Biography
Edward "Son" Fry (1879–1968) was an Australian rugby league and rugby union footballer. He was one of the founding players of rugby league in Australia and played for New South Wales in the inaugural rugby match run by the newly created 'New South Wales Rugby Football League'. Fry also represented the New South Wales rugby union side, playing against Albert Baskiville's 'All Golds' in three matches in Sydney in August 1907. Despite their previous victory against the All Blacks, the New South Wales rugby union team lost to the All Golds in a match played under rugby union rules, with a final score of 12–8.
