Ed Orgeron
Ed Orgeron, born July 27, 1961, is an American football coach. He played college football as a defensive lineman at LSU and Northwestern State University. Orgeron has had an impressive coaching career, serving as the head football coach at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) from 2005 to 2007, the interim head coach at the University of Southern California (USC) in 2013, and most notably, the head football coach at Louisiana State University (LSU) from midway through the 2016 season until the 2021 season. He led the 2019 LSU Tigers football team to a national championship, defeating Clemson in the 2020 College Football Playoff National Championship. Orgeron is of Cajun descent and hails from Larose, Louisiana.
