Eddie Money Biography
Eddie Money, born Edward Joseph Mahoney on March 21, 1949, was an American singer and songwriter. He rose to fame in the 1970s and 1980s with eleven Top 40 songs, including hits like 'Baby Hold On', 'Two Tickets to Paradise', and 'Take Me Home Tonight'. Born in Manhattan, New York City, Money came from a large Irish Catholic family. He began his career as a street singer at the age of eleven and played in rock bands as a teenager. Money was recognized for his working-class rock style and was nominated for a Grammy Award in 1987 for 'Take Me Home Tonight'. He passed away on September 13, 2019.
