Edmundo Vargas

Daniel Edmundo Vargas Carreño, born on 22 April 1937, is a Chilean politician and diplomat. He has had a notable career working for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has served as an ambassador for Chile. Vargas Carreño holds the title of honoris causa doctor from the University of Buenos Aires. He has also worked as the former secretary of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (CIDH). With his extensive experience in diplomacy and politics, Vargas Carreño has made significant contributions to international relations and human rights. He continues to be a respected figure in the field of foreign affairs.
