Elijah Alexander
Elijah Alexander (August 2, 1970 – March 24, 2010) was a professional football player and linebacker in the National Football League (NFL). Born in Fort Worth, Texas, Alexander attended Dunbar High School before playing college football at Kansas State University. In the 1992 NFL Draft, he was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the tenth round. Alexander went on to play ten seasons in the NFL for the Buccaneers, Denver Broncos, Indianapolis Colts, and Oakland Raiders. In 2005, he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma and subsequently founded the Tackle Myeloma Foundation to raise awareness and funds for research. Alexander passed away on March 24, 2010.
