Elizabeth Croft
Elizabeth A. Croft is a Canadian roboticist known for her work on human–robot interaction. She currently holds the position of vice president and provost at the University of Victoria. Croft graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1988 and went on to earn a master's degree at the University of Waterloo in 1992. In 1995, she completed her Ph.D. at the University of Toronto. Throughout her career, Croft has held various academic positions, including professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and associate dean of the Faculty of Applied Science at the University of British Columbia. She has also served as the NSERC Chair for Women in Science and Engineering (BC&Yukon) and chaired the national network of CWSEs. In 2017, she joined Monash University in Melbourne, Australia, as the dean of engineering and professor in the Departments of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering. Since July 1, 2022, she has been serving as the vice president of the University of Victoria.
