    Elizabeth Morton, born January 8, 1961, is a British actress, screenwriter, and novelist. She is known for her work in the ITV series Jeeves and Wooster, where she played the character Madeline Bassett. Morton has trained at the Guildhall School of Drama and The Royal Court Young Writers Group. As an author, she has written short stories for BBC Radio 4, Channel 4, ITV, and BBC Films and TV. Her novels, including A Liverpool Girl and A Last Dance in Liverpool, have achieved success, reaching Number 1 and Number 3 respectively in The Bookseller's Heatseekers Charts. Morton continues to contribute to the literary world with a new book deal with Pan Macmillan for two Liverpool sagas, with the first one, Angel of Liverpool, published in 2021.
