Emily Adams

Emily Adams is a Reader in Diagnostics for Infectious Disease at Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. She serves as the diagnostic lead for the Centre for Drugs and Diagnostics, where she develops diagnostics for various diseases in collaboration with industry partners. In addition, Emily is the Director for Epidemics and Neglected Tropical Disease at Global Access Diagnostics, a not-for-profit diagnostics company based in the UK. Prior to her current roles, Emily worked as a consultant for the World Health Organization TDR program, specifically focusing on the evaluation of Rapid Diagnostic Tests for Leishmaniasis. She gained extensive experience in tropical diseases during her time at the Koninklijk Instituut voor de Tropen.
