Emily Campbell

Emily Campbell (born 6 May 1994) is a British weightlifter and the most successful British weightlifter of modern times. She made history in 2021 by becoming the first British woman to win an Olympic medal in weightlifting, earning a silver medal in the +87 kg category at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Campbell has also achieved remarkable success in the European Championships, winning three consecutive titles from 2021 to 2023. She hails from the Snape Wood estate in Bulwell, Nottinghamshire, and holds a Sports Science degree from Leeds Beckett University. Campbell's notable achievements include a bronze medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and a bronze medal at the 2019 European Championships.
