Emily Diamond

Emily Diamond is a British track and field athlete born on June 11, 1991, in Bristol. She specializes in the 200 meters and 400 meters events. Diamond gained recognition in 2016 after winning her first British Championships over the 400 meters and securing a gold medal in the 4 x 400 meters relay at the European Athletics Championships, representing Great Britain. She also won a bronze medal in the same event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Diamond started her athletics career at Bristol Grammar School, where she excelled in the 1500 meters and won the junior girls' race at the Bristol Schools' Cross Country Championships. She comes from a family with a strong athletic background, as both her mother and grandmother had previously competed for England in long jump. Diamond also represented Great Britain at the 2011 World University Games.
