Emma Griffin

Emma Griffin is a British historian and professor of modern British history at Queen Mary University of London. She specializes in the industrial revolution and social and gender history. With a strong academic background, Griffin has authored five books, including 'Blood Sport,' which won the prestigious Lord Aberdare Prize for Literary History. She currently serves as the President of the Royal Historical Society and is a joint editor of The Historical Journal. Additionally, Griffin is actively involved in the Living with Machines research project, a digital history initiative based at The Alan Turing Institute and the British Library. She has received education from the University of London and the University of Cambridge, where she was a member of Trinity College.
