    Eric Montgomery Andrews (1933–2001), also known as E. M. Andrews, was an Australian historian, academic, and author. Born in London, Andrews obtained his first degree from the University of Oxford and completed his Doctor of Philosophy at the Australian National University. He taught history at the University of Newcastle from 1967. Andrews is best known for his book 'Isolationism and Appeasement in Australia: Reactions to the European Crises, 1935–1939,' which has been referenced in the Australian Capital Territory Legislative Assembly. He made significant contributions to the field of Australian war and diplomacy studies and was a respected scholar in this area.
