Eric Lawson

Eric Lawson (born February 12, 1981) is an American mixed martial artist. He began his professional career in 2004 and has a record of 9-5. Lawson gained recognition for his time with the now-defunct promotion Strikeforce. He made his debut with the organization on November 16, 2007, defeating Josh Neal by rear-naked choke submission. After a 1-1 record outside of Strikeforce, Lawson signed a new contract with the promotion and faced Jesse Gillespie, winning the fight by rear-naked choke at Strikeforce: Melendez vs. Thomson on June 27, 2008. Lawson's notable achievements include multiple victories by rear-naked choke submission.
