    Eric Linden (September 15, 1909 – July 14, 1994) was an American actor who was primarily active during the 1930s. Born in New York City to Phillip and Elvira Linden, he came from a Swedish descent. Linden began working at a young age to support his family, washing dishes at a cafe and selling newspapers. He attended Angela Patri elementary school and later DeWitt Clinton High School, where he participated in school plays. Linden graduated from Columbia University and initially pursued a career as a writer, having written three plays and 40 short stories by the age of 22. However, he eventually transitioned into acting and gained recognition for his roles in various movies and TV shows during the 1930s.
