Eric Prescott

Eric Prescott (21 June 1948 – 21 August 2023) was an English rugby union and professional rugby league footballer. He played club level rugby union for Widnes ICI RUFC and representative level rugby league for Lancashire. In rugby league, he played for clubs such as St Helens, Salford (two spells), Widnes, and Runcorn Highfield. Prescott joined St Helens in 1968 and achieved success, including scoring two tries in the club's 24-12 victory over Leeds in the 1969-70 Championship final. He also appeared in the 1970 Lancashire Cup Final. Prescott passed away on 21 August 2023 at the age of 75.
