Eric Ramsey
Eric Ramsey is a former football player who played as a defensive back for Auburn University's football team in the early 1990s. Born in 1967 in Homewood, Alabama, Ramsey joined Auburn in 1986 as part of the signing class. He redshirted during the 1987 season, and in 1989, he became a starter for the team. Ramsey gained notoriety for secretly recording conversations between his coaches and Booster 'Corky' Frost, exposing an illicit player payment scheme at Auburn. His allegations also included racist practices, leading to Auburn receiving penalties and probation. This scandal resulted in Coach Pat Dye's resignation and the subsequent hiring of Terry Bowden as head coach.
