Eric Tai

Eric Tai, born on August 23, 1984, is a Tongan-born Filipino actor, model, TV host, comedian, and social media personality. He is also a professional Arena of Valor esports player and a former rugby union player. Tai gained recognition as one of the hosts of It's Showtime under the screen name Eruption. Before his career in entertainment, Tai spent his childhood in New Zealand and developed a passion for video games. He was also actively involved in various sports during high school. Additionally, Tai served a 2-year mission in Naga, Camarines Sur as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Tai represented the Philippines national rugby union team in both 15s and 7s formats. In club rugby, he played for the Alabang Eagles.
