Erica Cho Biography
Erica Cho is a visual artist, animator, and filmmaker. They are currently an Assistant Professor of Narrative Media in the Department of Visual Arts at the University of California, San Diego. Previously, Cho held a visiting assistant professor position at Swarthmore College in the Film and Media Studies department. They have also curated films for the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival since 2011 and founded the first Tri-Co Film Festival in 2012. Cho's work often explores the intersections between LGBTQ and Asian-American themes. They have received the Creative Capital Moving Image Award and hold a BFA in art from Pennsylvania State University, as well as an MFA in Studio Art with an emphasis in experimental film and animation from UC Irvine.
