    Eva Chen is a Taiwanese businessperson and the co-founder and CEO of Trend Micro, a leading software security company. Born in Taichung, Taiwan, Chen experienced a traumatic incident when her house caught fire due to downed telephone wires, leading to a fear of telephones. She earned a degree in philosophy from National Chengchi University in Taipei and later obtained a master's degree in management information systems from the University of Texas at Dallas. Chen briefly worked in the publishing industry before co-founding Trend Micro with her brother in 1988. Her accomplishments include being named one of the 'Top 100 Most Influential Executives in the Industry' by CRN Magazine in 2010, and ranking fifth on Forbes' 'Asia's 50 Power Businesswomen' list in 2012.
