Evan Davis

Evan Harold Davis is an English journalist, presenter, and former economist. Born on April 8, 1962, in Malvern, Worcestershire, Davis is best known for his work with the BBC. He took over as the BBC's economics editor in October 2001 and later became a presenter on BBC Radio 4's Today programme in April 2008. Davis also served as the main presenter of Newsnight for four years starting in September 2014. Since 2005, he has been the presenter of the popular TV show Dragons' Den. Additionally, Davis became the presenter of Radio 4's PM programme in November 2018. He attended Dorking County Grammar School and grew up in Ashtead, Surrey. Davis was born to South African parents who had emigrated to the UK to protest against apartheid.
