Evan Osnos is an American journalist and author, born on December 24, 1976. He has been a staff writer at The New Yorker since 2008, specializing in politics and foreign affairs. Osnos gained recognition for his coverage of political and cultural topics in both the United States and China. His notable works include the National Book Award-winning book, 'Age of Ambition: Chasing Fortune, Truth, and Faith in the New China.' In 2020, he published a biography of Joe Biden titled 'Joe Biden: The Life, the Run, and What Matters Now.' In 2021, he released 'Wildland: The Making of America's Fury,' examining significant cultural and political changes in the US. Osnos' parents, Susan and Peter L.W. Osnos, have journalistic backgrounds and his father was a correspondent for The Washington Post.
