Felix Ryan
Emmett Felix Ryan (1897–1963) was an Australian Rugby League player who played in the 1910s and 1920s. He is considered one of the greatest players in the history of the Newtown Jets. Born in Sydney, New South Wales on September 27, 1897, Ryan played ten seasons for Newtown between 1914 and 1923. He captained the club and represented New South Wales in eight matches and Australia. Ryan toured with the Australian side to New Zealand in 1919 and the 1921–22 Kangaroo tour of Great Britain. He played two tests during the tour. Ryan retired in 1923 after playing over 120 games for Newtown. He passed away on March 14, 1963, at the age of 65.
