Ford Rainey (August 8, 1908 – July 25, 2005) was an American film, stage, and television actor. He was born in Mountain Home, Idaho, and graduated from Centralia High School in 1927. Rainey furthered his education at Centralia Junior College and the Cornish School in Seattle. He later studied acting at the Michael Chekhov Theatre Studio in Connecticut. Rainey's experience in the outdoors and his ability to ride horses contributed to his success as a tough-guy film presence. Before pursuing acting, he worked various odd jobs such as logging, fishing, and carpentry. Rainey also served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. Throughout his career, he appeared in numerous movies and television shows, leaving a lasting impact on the entertainment industry.
