Francis Boyle
Francis Anthony Boyle (born March 25, 1950) is an American human rights lawyer and professor of international law at the University of Illinois College of Law. He is known for his work as counsel for Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as his support for the rights of Palestinians and indigenous peoples. Boyle received his Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Chicago in 1971, followed by a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School in 1976. He also holds a Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy in political science from Harvard University. Boyle has practiced tax and international tax law and has played a role in the development of the indictment against Slobodan Milošević for war crimes in Bosnia.
