Francis Mallmann

Francis Mallmann (born January 14, 1956) is an Argentine celebrity chef, author, and restaurateur known for his expertise in Argentine and Patagonian cuisine. Born in Acassuso, Buenos Aires Province, Mallmann moved to Bariloche in Patagonia in 1958. At the age of nineteen, he began managing a restaurant and later traveled to Paris to train under renowned chefs including Alain Chapel. Upon returning to Argentina, Mallmann worked in various kitchens before opening his own restaurant in 1983. He has gained international recognition through his appearances on television programs and as a featured chef on the Netflix series Chef's Table.
