Frankie J. Alvarez Biography
Frankie J. Alvarez is an American actor, born on May 10, 1983. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Agustín Lanuez in the HBO series Looking, as well as in the subsequent series finale television film, Looking: The Movie. Alvarez's parents, originally from Cuba, raised him in Miami, Florida. Coming from an artistic background, with his grandmother being an opera singer in Cuba and his parents involved in music and ballet, Alvarez developed a passion for the arts. Fluent in Spanish, he learned English at a young age by watching baseball. He attended an all-boys Jesuit prep school before enrolling at Florida State University as a Creative Writing major, later switching to the fine arts program.
