Frankie Shaw (born Rachel Frances Shaw in 1981) is an American actress, writer, and director. She gained recognition for her role as Bridgette Bird in the Showtime series SMILF, which was based on her own short film from 2015. Shaw also portrayed Mary Jo Cacciatore in the Spike TV series Blue Mountain State from 2010 to 2011, and had a recurring role as Shayla Nico in the first season of Mr. Robot on the USA Network. Born and raised in South Boston and Brookline, Massachusetts, Shaw grew up in a single-mother household with an older half-brother. She attended Michael Driscoll School and Brookline High School, where she developed a passion for basketball.
