Gaggan Anand

Gaggan Anand is an Indian chef and the owner and executive chef of the progressive Indian restaurant Gaggan in Bangkok, Thailand. Born in Kolkata, India, Anand initially pursued a career in music, performing as a drummer in local rock bands. After attending catering college in Trivandrum, he worked as a trainee with the Taj Group before venturing into catering in Kolkata. Anand later moved to Bangkok and began working at Red, a restaurant specializing in contemporary Indian cuisine. He made history as the first chef of Indian descent to intern with Ferran Adrià's research team. Today, he is renowned for his innovative and boundary-pushing approach to Indian cuisine at Gaggan, which has received numerous accolades and recognition worldwide.
