Gareth Farr

Gareth Vincent Farr (born 29 February 1968) is a New Zealand composer and percussionist. He is known for his classical compositions and performances with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra (NZSO) and Royal New Zealand Ballet. Farr began his studies at the University of Auckland and later studied at Victoria University of Wellington, where he gained recognition for his compositions and developed a passion for exploring the Indonesian gamelan. In addition to his classical work, Farr has performed in drag under the name Lilith LaCroix in a show called Drumdrag and released a CD under that name. He has also been an active performer, playing percussion for the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra (APO) and the Karlheinz Company.
