Gary Lee Davis (August 13, 1944 – October 13, 1997) was an American convicted murderer and rapist. Born in Wichita, Kansas, on August 13, 1944, Davis claimed to have suffered sexual abuse from his older stepbrothers. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1961 and later held multiple jobs. Davis was married twice and had six children. Despite his criminal record, which included multiple convictions for predatory sexual behavior, Davis admitted to raping 15 women. He was executed by the U.S. state of Colorado in 1997, making him the only person to be executed by the state between 1968 and 2020 when capital punishment was abolished.
