Geoffrey Lower

Geoffrey Lower (born March 19, 1963) is an American actor known for his roles in television shows and films. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Reverend Timothy Johnson on the CBS-TV series Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. Lower also appeared as Monica Geller's boyfriend Alan in the popular Friends episode, 'The One With the Thumb'. He grew up in Casper, Wyoming and attended the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and Juilliard School. Lower has an extensive theater background and has performed in productions such as What Doesn't Kill Us, There's One in Every Marriage, and The Marrieds. His television career includes appearances on shows like The Trials of Rosie O'Neill and Quantum Leap. He has also acted in various films.
