George Martin Lott was an American tennis player and coach. Born on October 16, 1906, in Springfield, Illinois, United States, Lott achieved recognition as one of the greatest doubles players of all time. He won the U.S. title five times, partnering with John Hennessey in 1928, John Doeg in 1929 and 1930, and Les Stoefen in 1933 and 1934. In the U.S. championships singles in 1928, Lott reached the semifinals. He also won the Canadian Covered Court Championships four times between 1927 and 1931. Lott's impressive career and contribution to tennis make him a notable figure in the sport's history.
