Giuseppe Romano
Giuseppe Romano (November 15, 1918 – November 16, 1965) was an Italian professional football player. He was born in Brescia, Italy, and played as a goalkeeper. Romano holds the record for being the oldest player ever to play for Juventus F.C., making his appearance at the age of 38 years and 138 days. He began his career with Brescia in Serie B and later transferred to L.R. Vicenza, where he made his Serie A debut in 1942. During the Second World War, Romano played for Como in the Lombard Charity Tournament. After the war, he continued his career with Vicenza, playing two more championships. After retiring as a player, Romano became a coach, leading teams such as Pordenone Calcio and A.S.D Tempio. He passed away in Tempio Pausania, Italy.
