Goldy Notay is a British-Canadian film, television, and stage actress known for her versatile performances. Born in Punjab, she later moved to Canada and eventually settled in London. After completing her drama school in Toronto, Goldy was discovered by director Mira Nair while performing on stage, which led to her feature film debut in 'My Own Country' opposite Naveen Andrews. She then moved to the UK and worked extensively with the Kali theatre group, specializing in stories by Asian women. Goldy gained recognition for her lead role as Roopi in Gurinder Chadha's film 'It's A Wonderful Afterlife' and also appeared in the comedy Brit flick 'Amar Akbar & Tony' on Netflix. Currently, she can be seen in the 6-part ITV series 'Beecham House,' directed by Gurinder Chadha.
