Gonzalo Escudero Biography
Gonzalo Escudero Moscoso (September 28, 1903 - December 10, 1971) was an Ecuadorian poet and diplomat. Born in Quito, he attended the Instituto Nacional Mejía for high school and later earned a doctorate degree in jurisprudence from the Central University of Ecuador. Escudero served as a distinguished professor of international law at the University of Quito and held various government positions including Secretary of Education, Secretary of Congress, and Minister of Foreign Affairs. Throughout his career, he represented Ecuador as an ambassador to countries such as Uruguay, Peru, Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, and to international organizations like UNESCO. Escudero authored several poetry collections, including 'Los Poemas del Arte' and 'Estatura del Aire.' He passed away in Brussels in 1971.
