Grace VanderWaal is an American singer, songwriter, and actress born on January 15, 2004. She gained recognition for her unique vocals and skills on the ukulele. VanderWaal kickstarted her musical journey by sharing original songs and covers on YouTube and performing at local open mic nights in Suffern, New York. In 2016, at the age of 12, she rose to prominence as the winner of the eleventh season of America's Got Talent. Following her victory, she signed with Columbia Records and Syco Music, releasing her debut EP Perfectly Imperfect in 2016, which became the best-selling EP of the year. Her first full-length studio album, Just the Beginning, debuted at number 22 on the U.S Billboard 200 in 2017. VanderWaal released her second EP, Letters Vol. 1, in 2019.
