Grant Russell Biography
Grant Russell is an American football quarterback who currently plays for the Carolina Cobras of the National Arena League (NAL). He attended Newark High School in Newark, Ohio, where he excelled in baseball, basketball, and football. Despite not receiving much attention from Division I football schools, Russell enrolled at Ohio Dominican University and joined their football team. In his senior year, he was named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Player of the Year and became a Harlon Hill Trophy candidate. Russell has a career total of 8,729 passing yards, 73 passing touchdowns, 20 interceptions, and 14 rushing touchdowns. He has received numerous accolades, including being named a D2Football.com Honorable Mention All-American and a Don Hansen Football Gazette Second Team All-Region 1 player in 2017.
