Gregory Burke Biography
Gregory Burke (born 1968) is a Scottish playwright and screenwriter from Rosyth, Fife. He is best known for his play Black Watch, which premiered at the 2006 Edinburgh Festival Fringe and received critical acclaim. Burke's first play, Gagarin Way, also garnered attention for its setting in the factories of West Fife. Throughout his career, he has written a number of other plays including Occy Eyes, The Straits, Unsecured, On Tour, Liar, Shell Shocked, and Hoors. Burke attended the University of Stirling before dropping out, and his time there was cut short due to an incident in which he and three others attacked a fellow student.
