Guillaume Patry

Guillaume Patry, also known by his alias Grrrr..., is a Canadian professional StarCraft player. Born in Quebec City, Patry rose to fame in 1999 when he became the StarCraft world champion. He initially played as a random player but later focused on the Protoss race after arriving in Korea. Patry's innovative strategies for Protoss, including the development of standard build orders, greatly influenced the game. He won the first-ever OSL tournament, the Hanaro OSL, and achieved high placements in various other tournaments throughout his career. In 2004, Patry retired from professional gaming, briefly pursued gambling, and then transitioned to a regular staff job. However, he has expressed the possibility of returning to the professional gaming scene in the future.
