Hannah Murray Biography
Hannah Murray, born Tegan Lauren-Hannah Murray on July 1, 1989, is an English actress known for her roles in various television shows and films. She gained recognition for her portrayal of Cassie in the series Skins from 2007 to 2008 and in 2013. Murray also played the character Gilly in the HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones from 2012 to 2019, earning her three Screen Actors Guild Award nominations. In the film industry, she appeared in Stuart Murdoch's God Help The Girl (2014), winning a Special Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival, and Jeppe Rønde's Bridgend (2015), for which she received the Tribeca Film Festival Best Actress Award. Additionally, Murray has showcased her talent on stage in productions such as Polly Stenham's That Face (2008) and Martine (2014). She was born in Bristol, where her parents work at the University of Bristol, and she holds an English degree from Queens' College, Cambridge. Murray was also a member of the Bristol Old Vic Young Company.
