Hayden Thompson (born March 5, 1938) is an American singer, songwriter, and rockabilly musician. He gained recognition for his work in the rockabilly genre and is a member of the Rockabilly Hall of Fame. Thompson was born in Booneville, Mississippi and began his musical career in high school, forming the Southern Melody Boys. He made a recording with the group that led to a radio appearance on the 'Louisiana Hayride' show. After that, he joined the Dixie Jazzlanders and toured Mississippi. Thompson later relocated to Memphis, Tennessee and then to Chicago, Illinois, where he gained a residency at the Rivoli Ballroom. His recordings, including 'Love My Baby' and '$16.88,' garnered attention and established him as a notable figure in rockabilly music.
